The need for such is multiplied tenfold in Armenia because of the armed conflict Armenians face regularly. Many people in Armenia are unfamiliar with first aid techniques, however, and there is no specialty in emergency medicine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Particularly in the Syunik region, which is subject to geopolitical instability, constant threats and regular attacks, it is vital to develop the population&#8217;s ability to deal with crises that include attacks, invasions and the influx of refugees.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Following a fact-finding mission in Syunik in 2022, Sant\u00e9 Arm\u00e9nie created a program to train Syunik healthcare professionals in medical emergencies and, more broadly, to teach first aid to the region&#8217;s civilian population.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This training program has four main areas of focus and each course is tailored to its target audience:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">First aid training for the population of Syunik<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Training sessions in Syunik&#8217;s educational structures, targeting high school students in particular<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Training for healthcare professionals in Syunik<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Advanced training for professionals in charge of pre-hospital emergency medicine<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9ca5644 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"9ca5644\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d81a46c elementor-widget elementor-widget-side-by-side-colored\" data-id=\"d81a46c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"side-by-side-colored.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\n        <section class=\"side-by-side-colored-section\">\n                        <div class=\"section-column image-left d-flex\">\n                <div class=\"col-12 col-md-6\">\n                    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.santearmenie.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/31-emergency.jpeg\" alt=\"\">\n                <\/div>\n                <div class=\"col-12 col-md-6 text-content\" style=\"background-color: #E30613 \">\n                    <div class=\"paragraph\"><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These training courses, provided by European emergency physicians, have a dual impact. Those who have attended Sant\u00e9 Arm\u00e9nie's training courses will be able to intervene and treat medical emergencies.
